British Airways American Express 🇬🇧 - Get miles when you spend

Credit Card is not a bad thing if you repay in full every month. It's actually a great way of earning extra miles for your daily shopping.

British Airways have joined forces with American Express for a BA AMEX. This is a credit card, therefore it involved high charges for interest repayment as high as 25%, if not repaid in full every month. So before you proceed, be conscious of your personal circumstances and make sure you are aware of the potential costs associated. There is no annual fees involved.

Receive 1 Avios for every £1 you spend

If you are used to the principle of credit card and repaying in full every month, the BA Amex can be a nice addition as you will bag for each £1 spent, 1 Avios (mile currency of British Airways). From the latest report from the Points Guy UK, 1 #Avios is worth about 1.4p. So all in all, you could earn a 1.4% cashback on credit card spend, which is not bad.

More of that, you will get the great mobile #app to see your pending and past transactions, next statements, etc. All what you can expect these days. But the app is very sleek. On the top of that, you will get #AMEX exclusive cashback offers. For example:

  • Get 5% cashback every time you spend more than £7 at Caffe Nero.

  • Get £50 cashback if you spend more than £250 at Marriott Hotels.

  • Get £2 when you buy a £5 lunch at Pret A Manger.

6'000 Avios when you spend £1000+ in your first 3 months

Finally one last incentive to get you started is a great boost for signing up. If you plan to spend £1000 in your first 3 months, you will bag 6'000 Avios. Something to get you quicker to your next #holiday destination! Those miles can also be redeemed for gift cards or hotel nights.

BA Amex is a great credit card for the people who are used to #credit cards and their risks and benefits. At the end you can quickly get thousands of miles you wouldn't get otherwise. American Express is not always supported in every shop or restaurant so make sure you keep handy your Visa or Mastercard.
